Young Californian Bay Area producer Louie DeMartini aka SweetLou is taking a fresh look at today’s electronic music, throwing his musical twist on today’s genres and pushing them forward with ever-changing tempos and styles in his releases.
Beginning his musical journey with the American dubstep craze, SweetLou hit the studio and started churning out tunes in 2010.
Taking his passion to Cuesta College, DeMartini quickly brought his focus to the study of Sound Recording. After that, the young musician took his talents to Ex’pression College for Digital Arts, furthering his knowledge in Sound Arts.
First honing in exclusively on the dubstep sound, DeMartini soon branched out to other genres (house, drum and bass, and trap – just to name a few) with mindset of creating something new.
Drawing upon influences from around the world of dance music, he’s combining sound and tempo in new ways to change the listening experience.
That’s not the only thing that the ambitious young producer has his sights set on. He and Bay Area producer Chunky formed the label, OFDA Records, to release their music. SweetLou’s upcoming Rat Pack EP will be the first release on the fledgling label.
Showcasing the producer’s wide range of styles, his 4-track OFDA Preview touches on a myriad of soundscapes to keep listeners on their toes. From the contemporary dubstep sound of “Hood Rat Stuff” to the creeping trap tune, “U Guessed It (Remix)”, and beyond – keep an eye out for SweetLou’s upcoming Rat Pack EP.
