New Years Eve is celebrated around the world in many different ways. When in Switzerland, you celebrate by dropping ice cream on the floor. In Romania, you put on a bear costume and dance from house to house. And of course, watching the ball drop in Time Square is a New York staple.
But, when you’re in Lake Tahoe the weekend of December 31st, the place to be is SnowGlobe Music Festival, dancing into the new year alongside tens of thousands of other friendly faces

Let’s Talk Lineup:
The weather may be cold but the lineup is HOT.
SnowGlobe truly outdid themselves this year with headliners Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, Travis Scott and Zedd. The lineup also features Bay Area classic E-40, a personal favorite of mine, who is returning this year. You can also look forward to killer artists Khalid, Tycho, and Madeon. Other big name artists gracing the stages include Allison Wonderland, Snakehips, Gryffin and TroyBoi. If those names right there don’t have you packing your hand warmers already, San Holo, Lane 8, Jai Wolf, and Shiba San should do it for you. Those are just a few of the 50-plus performers that are about to bring the heat at this year’s festivities. Check out the rest of the top acts here:
Having been a SnowGlober for the past four years, I can assure you that this is not one to miss. Last year, Odesza was the highlight of my weekend, closing out this magical event with an entrancing performance and setting the tone for the New Year.
SnowGlobe’s closing performer is nothing short of magical each year, as you can witness for yourself below:
So, while other people are celebrating New Years Eve with their own traditions around the world, make your tradition being a part of SnowGlobe Music Festival in South Lake Tahoe.
