Producers, this is the day you’ve been waiting for. Cornell University’s Macaulay Library just released their library of natural sounds and animal calls to the world, and it’s all available online.

Why does this matter? Because the world’s oldest and largest collection of nature recordings is now at your fingertips.

Whether you’re looking to sample the Curl-Crested Manucode‘s call (which is absolutely bonkers), a Bearded Seal’s roar, or a Walrus’ percussive underwater hammering to add that extra bit of weird audio funk to your tracks, you can.

With over 9,000 species and 150,000 audio recordings now available online, the world is at your fingertips when it comes to creating your next musical masterpiece.

Whether you decide to use these sounds in your tunes or not isn’t the point; we just think it’s pretty cool that you can.

Now that the world’s sounds are now in your corner, what will you do with them?
