Porter Robinson came onto the scene in 2014 prominently with his debut album, Worlds, which gained a worldwide following and reached the number one spot on the Billboard’s top 100 Dance/ Electronic Albums. Most recently, Porter Robinson created another gem ‘Something Comfortable’ as well as laid down a beautiful set for Secret Sky’s Festival.
Over the years, Porter’s beautiful music has garnered remix treatment from the best of them. In this article we are going to take a deep dive into the 4 best Porter Robinson remixes.
The first song that cannot go without mention would have to be REZZ’s remix of “Divinity”. The remix dropped in early November of 2018 and made waves in the EDM scene, proving again that REZZ was here to stay. The beginning of the song is very smooth and draws you in , but in typical REZZ fashion that doesn’t last long and you are greeted with her signature drops.
Odesza’s remix of ‘Divinity’ makes our list next. The Seattle based duo gels well with Porter Robinson’s future bass dynamics by adding their warm touch.
The third remix is from all the way back in 2014 and it’s Arty’s remix of “Lionhearted” off Porter’s debut album. The sound is so true to the music in the early 2010’s and became an instant classic.
The final song that MUST be talked about is Mielo Redux‘ remix of “Say my name”. This song came in the summer of 2016, with its super clean drop and rhythm it quickly became a party favorite.
