Ookay has been on a roll since the release of his highly successful single “Thief”. Ever since, the producer has found a musical style that fits him more personally rather than the laser-filled trap bangers that he’s originally known for.
On his second Soundcloud account, he released a remix of ZAYN‘s “PILLOWTALK” and it’s truly beautiful.
Ookay’s remix channels Asian influences resulting in a peaceful atmosphere contrasting ZAYN’s vocals.
This is definitely one of the most unique remixes of this track we’ve heard. While the original maintains a downtempo R&B style, Ookay adds a layer of serenity with his soft piano and strings.
His newest tracks have shown a completely new side of the young producer and we can’t wait for more. Rumor has it that there’s an album in the works featuring “Thief”, “Back Again”, and more so be on the look out!
