Misfit Media has been all over the nation delivering the dance music scene intriguing showcases, banding together under the label and now ready to present to the world a marinaded collective body of work. The Co-Founder based out of Denver, Corey Blecha, shares about the three-year-old project and debut compilation that was released today,
“our goal with Misfit Media is to bring together diverse lineups and compilations, to showcase the best new acts coming out of the underground. Many of the artists we work with today, will be the headliners of tomorrow, and we are honored to play a part in shaping their projects and to watch them grow, not only as musicians but as individuals. Many of these acts will get full solo releases in 2025 and we can’t wait for everyone to hear what they’ve been tirelessly working on!
Dubstep, glitch-hop, IDM and everything in between, these 14 tracks provide a glimpse into our plans for this year between label releases and events that will pop up around the country.”

In ‘Volume 1’ you will find standout tunes from the likes of Basura, EYEMC, Sqonk and Shep., Gunnar Nash, Torbjørn and Indobeats. Complimenting the Misfit Media crew are a few new faces such as Limbus Luna, D:FORM, Kial, rsrch chmcls and Twizzled.
Misfit Media has been interweaving within the bass music community through the notable events they throw and legendary artist performances with more pivotal dates that have recently been announced.
In the coming months Indobeats will bring Maine into the dance music picture as he is set to perform at FAM Fest this summer with Caspa and Rusko. Then if you are in Denver find Indobeats at the Ogden on March 7th with Artifakts and Pheel. While Misfit Media is helping shape the Pacific Northwest scene’s with their upcoming Phonk Around and Find Out events featuring Ryan Celsius and Backwhen for two special shows.
The crew’s monster, Basura is currently preparing for his set for Deep Dark and Dangerous‘ all-world takeover at Meow Wolf Denver on February 22nd as well as his Lightning in a Bottle debut on the The Stacks stage and Brooklyn debut for a Smack Presents event at Meadows.
Over the past 6 months, Torbjørn rang in the new year at the Chameleon in Spokane with 5AM Music headlining the night, then back in September Tor was behind the decks aboard Misfit Media’s official pre-party as well as the mainstage for Rolling by the Bay music festival along with Indobeats.

As the young label is on a growth spurt lets get to know the whole Misfit Media roster so we can keep rolling with their good times.

Lets just start with BASURA from Davenport, Iowa who creates 140 BPM dubstep that blends old-school bass with new school aesthetics, while also heading up community content for M.U.D..

EYEMC is originally from Bend, Oregon but now resides in Neimes, France. He loves to blow minds with a fusion of hip-hop and experimental bass music while also shape shifting into a rapper and analog glitch artist.

Gunnar Nash, can be described as an experimental bass music producer from Southern Maryland who has specialized in harmonic noise bass and melodic dubstep/trap without sleep since 2021.

Indobeats crafts a distinctive sound that merges hip-hop energy with bass music, incorporating lofi beats, funky rhythms, and bleeding-edge sound design.

Kelekta, born and raised on Maui, has risen from fan to become one of Hawaii’s premier bass music producers, now setting his sights on the West Coast festival circuit.

Torbjørn, a Seattle-based artist with classical violin training and a degree from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, combines dynamic vocals, hard-hitting beats, and turntable cuts in his productions, notably collaborating with Nurries on the track ‘Wanna Go.’

Nurries, a prominent figure in Maui’s bass music scene, has evolved from fan to influential MC and DJ, collaborating with artists like ill.Gates and performing at Shambhala Festival.


You have to know Qilin, a veteran of the Denver music scene who has made his mark in dubstep for nearly a decade with releases on labels such as LDH Recordings, balancing old-school influences with modern production techniques.

SAINT POND, based in Baltimore, MD, specializes in phonk and electronic bass music with a down-south hip-hop influence, known for his dynamic live performances and gritty yet smooth productions.

Shep. from South Florida creates a unique fusion of halftime, breakbeat, and trip-hop, establishing himself as a notable figure in the east coast electronic music scene.

While Sqonk, based in Harrisburg, PA, is an emerging producer exploring sound design and various sonic territories within bass music that you will have to get to know.

Then we have Ceiva from Rochester, New York but now based in Denver who likes to combine powerful dubstep basslines with 90s IDM textures that has summoned him to perform at prestigious venues like Mission Ballroom and The Black Box while also being one-third of the bass music trio REALMS.
