Brazilian producer Scandalo has released a new tech house mix from DJ Vanni who is also known under the guise of Manni.
Manni’s music is underground techno at its best form.
The collaboration “Deeper & Deeper” between the Brazilian and Italian DJ/singer Michelle Manetti was released on Beatport January 27th, 2015.
Featuring remixes from Sierra Sam (Get Physical, Upon You Records), Greg Gow (a Canadian techno producer), Morgan Pottruff, and Matheus Castro, the album creates a superb dance soundtrack.
DJ Vanni (aka Manni) began as a three person electronic music band called M4J – one of the first electronic music live acts from Brazil.
The group began back in 1996, but Vanni has been producing EDM since 1985. With 3 decades of production experience, the dude knows a thing or two when it comes to making beats.
Originally comprised of members DJ Mau Mau, Marcel SK, and renowned keyboardist Franco Jr., M4J began mixing a compilation of house, techno, and Brazilian based electronica rhythms.
Sao Paulo has always been known for its underground techno scene, and M4J was right in the middle of it all releasing two full albums with several tracks featured in shows like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, and Derrick May.
Eventually, M4J split, but Vanni remained true to his roots and continued solo producing under a few different names.
The one that continues to pump out dirty sounds goes by the alias of Manni.
Manni has played in all the best Brazilian clubs and music festivals and has toured across the globe including in places like Paris, Rome, and Barcelona, more recently working on major record labels like Baroque and Fatali.
Next time you’re in Sao Paulo, you can catch Manni DJing in the world renowned clubs D-Edge, Lab Club, Trackers, Lions and Hot Hot.
