Lane 8 Drops Melodic Anjunadeep Mix Ahead of Epic Summer Gatherings Tour

Lane 8 has gifted us once again. No stranger to crafting progressive, ethereal and often multi-hour mixes, the deep house artist is back at it, this time for the latest Anjunadeep Edition, Episode 248.

The 75-minute mix kicks off with Lane 8 and Tinlicker’s “Anthracite” and later features the Ryan Davis remix of “Feld”, both of which come out on Lane 8’s double A-side Feld / Anthracite on Anjunadeep on April 30.

The mix is jam packed with recent releases including Ben Böhmer and Fritz Kalkbrenner’s brand new track “Rye” and Enamour’s “Love Syndrome”, the latest release on Lane 8’s This Never Happened label. John Monkman’s “Warp,” which takes a bit of inspiration from Coldplay with the vocals “I will try to fix you,” makes an appearance about halfway through. Lane 8 also throws in an unreleased Township Rebellion remix of his dreamy track “Visions,” and two IDs to keep us on our toes. As always with Lane 8’s mixes, it’s a melodic and emotional ride that goes by too fast.

Listen to The Anjunadeep Edition 248 with Lane 8:

This comes just before a busy summer kicks off for the Denver resident.

He’ll play at Lightning in a Bottle in May before embarking on his This Never Happened Summer Gatherings tour. In January, the return of the event was announced:

As he did in 2017, Lane 8 will be playing a 2 hour opening set and a 3 hour closing set, with special guests from the extended TNH family in between. As with all TNH events, Lane 8 asks fans to “leave their phones and cameras alone – and focus on connecting with the music and each other.” Anyone that has attended a TNH show in the past knows how much this enhances the experience.

Listen to Lane 8’s “Fingerprint”:

The tour commences at the massive Brooklyn Mirage on June 1. The next stop is the LA Coliseum, a historical venue that has hosted the Olympics and EDC, followed by the breathtaking Echo Mountain Ski Resort in the artist’s home state of Colorado. The last show is September 14 at the Frank H. Ogawa Plaza in downtown Oakland. These are Lane 8’s only shows in those cities for the year, so grab your tickets here if he’s on your must-see list in 2019.

Listen to Lane 8’s “No Captain”:

Amidst all of this, Lane 8 will cross the Atlantic for the inaugural Anjunadeep presents: Explorations festival in Albania from June 20-25. Fans also know to be on the lookout for his next quarterly mixtape for Summer 2019.
