Some careers announce themselves. Joseph Desando‘s has been built the opposite way. One credit, one session, one festival mainstage at a time, until the résumé did the talking on its own.
The Canadian producer, engineer, and DJ has racked up more than 25 commercial releases and 60 million-plus streams without ever needing to be the name on the marquee. Several of those records hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, a metric that rewards staying power over hype. That tracks, because staying power is Desando’s whole thing.

Since 2024, Joseph Desando has been embedded with Loud Luxury, handling production, engineering, and live show material across their touring and release cycle. It’s a role that demands range. A festival mix and a studio master are not the same job, and doing both well, repeatedly, is the actual skill being tested here.
His fingerprints show up in unexpected places, too. A 2025 remix tied to Taylor Swift landed at No. 1 on U.S. iTunes. Collaborations with Frank Walker and Cat Dealers stretch his catalog across continents. And ‘Senna Driven‘, a project built around Ayrton Senna and timed to the São Paulo Grand Prix, shows he’s just as comfortable building a concept from scratch as executing someone else’s vision.
Add in features at Tomorrowland, Ultra, EDC, and Stagecoach, brand work for Starbucks and Tylenol Canada, and releases through Republic, Sony, Armada, and Universal, and a pattern emerges. Desando isn’t chasing one lane. He’s proving he can drive all of them, when he is not sleeping professionally of course.
The producer credit is easy to overlook. The consistency behind it isn’t. Enjoy JD’s Productions below.
