Japan’s leading progressive house producer, Shingo Nakamura, made his anticipated return to Monstercat today with the new atmospheric offering, “Falling Off.” Inspired to create a song that would combat mental distress and depression, he looked to the genre’s uplifting sounds of the 2000s, citing foundational classics that take shape in his piano chords and bright melodies.
Shingo Nakamura shares, “This release was inspired by mental pain, depressed moods, and the positive thinking that confronts them. I hope “Falling Off” helps listeners feel relaxed or energized. I also made a Chill Mix to serve as a warmer version.”
After signing with Silk over a decade ago, Shingo has become one of the brand’s leading artists with multiple SiriusXM Chill records reaching #1 and recent guest mixes on ‘A State of Trance’ and ‘Group Therapy’ radio shows. Last year, Grammy-nominated producer and composer BT remixed Shingo’s album single, “Darling Midnight,” and he was one of a handful of artists chosen to launch Spotify’s inaugural ‘DJ Mixes’, alongside Adam Beyer, Noisia, and others. “Falling Off” follows his spring cut, “Focus” which earned massive support from household progressive and trance producers, further demonstrating his global impact.
