Henry Krinkle’s “Stay” is one of those tracks that I’ve heard so many people say “I love this song!” but have no idea the name or artist.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with people recognizing good music, and that point is merely to illustrate the scope of this track. This has been around for years, cutting through the house scene with the Alicia Keys sample and warm deep house inclination.
Now Dirtybird Records fam’ Justin Martin has injected a smooth bass line that gives us a grown up track that is even more recognizable than the original, in many cases.
While this is a blast from the past, there is no doubt that this track is around to stay.
