Hardwell, Nervo, Dillon Francis to Perform at Indianapolis 500

IndyStar has reported that DJ Mag‘s number 1 DJ, Hardwell, will be headlining the Indianapolis 500 alongside Australian sisters Nervo and Los Angeles product Dillon Francis.

The three electronic music acts will bring bass and beats to the infamous infield known as the Snake Pit, notorious for its Mardi Gras-esque atmosphere and debaucherous behavior.

Midwestern lore holds that the tradition of the Snake Pit started as far back as the 1920’s when fans began to gather on the infield. Albeit, the pit as we know it today started coming to fruition in the early 70’s and has become synonymous with booze, nudity, and music.

Big time EDM acts seem to be becoming a staple at the Snake Pit with past performers including Afrojack, Diplo, Benny Bennassi, and Krewella.

If I know any thing about the rowdy culture of nearby Indiana University, it is safe bet to mark this one on your calendars.
