Through a shared love of indie and dance music, Alex Kotz (Elderbrook) and Jacob Manson (Blonde) have come together for their electric new project “Good Life” with their first single “Good Life” releasing today.
With the summer season just beginning, “Good Life” comes at the perfect time as the ultimate summertime jam. With lyrics like “Happy waiting down in the sand, looking up at that sun rising, all day and all night, the sun and the moon, it feels like there’s nothing to prove whenever I’m with you, I’m Living the good life,” the new single makes the case to be a great addition for numerous summer playlists.
Alex and Jacob each bring their unique and creative sound to the single to strengthen its vibrant energy and jovial vibe. Good Life will release a unique set of music comprising of innovative electronic and indie sounds aiming to reach a wide range of audiences.
Alex and Jacob began collaborating on many of the songs from Elderbrook’s sophomore album Why Do We Shake In The Cold (including the hit song Numb). They bonded over a shared love of artists at the intersection of indie and electronic music, including Empire of the Sun, Miike Snow, Fleet Foxes, MGMT. While recording at a home studio in Laurel Canyon they experimented with combinations of electronic and more conventional, organic sounds. The demos from those weeks formed Good Life.
