Thunder only happens when it’s rainin’, players only love you when they’re playin’…
We all know the words and we’re definitely guilty of belting them out on full tilt at one point or another. Originally released in 1977, Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” is a timeless classic that is perfect for any occasion – whether closing out the bar, cruising on a road trip, or – in this case – throwing down a filthy opening set when things are about to get weird.
This was precisely the scenario when we first heard this edit during Danyielo and Ricardo’s opening set for Daddy Dirtybird himself – Claude VonStroke – at South Beach’s famed TRADE nightclub.
It’s always a tall order taking on a hit like this, but Gigamesh does it to perfection. The Los Angeles-based producer weaves a subtle house music rework into the Fleetwood Mac original, leaving all the crucial elements untouched while still delivering a fresh spin.
