Claude VonStroke and Dirtybird have a message for those planning on bringing their Native American headdresses to the first ever Dirtybird Campout: don’t.

In a repeated issue that’s been discussed time and time again in the electronic community, VonStroke and Dirtybird leave no question as to their opposition of the fad, and it makes complete sense.

Symbolism runs deeply through the veins of all cultures, and there are few symbols more iconic in our own country than the Native American war bonnet. At festivals, they’re a simple fashion accessory. In historical and contemporary culture, however, they’re inextricably linked to heritage.

Here’s what Dirtybird had to say regarding the issue:
