One of my favorite things about Diplo is his versatility. The Philadelphia native is a key member of EDM tycoon groups like, Jack Ü and Major Lazer. From tracks like ‘Cold Water’ to ‘Where Are Ü Now‘, Diplo seems to have a knack for producing hits.
Now, adding to his impressive repertoire, Diplo just dropped a new collaboration with AutoErotique called ‘Waist Time’. Unlike many of Diplo‘s Major Lazer and Jack Ü projects, this new track goes hard from start to finish.
‘Waist Time’ is a surprisingly heavy track, detracting from the Mad Decent Founder’s usual dance anthems. Diplo‘s new track features fast beats, heavy drops and wobbling distortions. Diplo and AutoErotique incorporate percussive beats with the wobbles in the track, all mixing together to develop a heavy track. The repetitive vocals crescendo in time with the beat and work up to the drop- a drop you’ll stand up and twerk for.
‘Waist Time’ isn’t a track you’ll dance to- it’s a track you’ll twerk to.
Regardless of how you dance to this song, Diplo and AutoErotique have produced a heavy track that will definitely spawn remixes left and right.
