The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival has announced its 2015 lineup featuring AC/DC, Jack White, and Drake as the headlining acts. The three day festival will occur over two weekends: Friday, April 10 – Sunday, April 12 and Friday, April 17 – Sunday, April 19, 2015.
While AC/DC making their first appearance in 20 years is quite the eye-catcher, digging deeper reveals some intriguing potential surprises.
Scanning through the subtext reveals Gramatik Lights, leading us to believe a possible alliance between Gramatik and Pretty Lights is in the works.
We can’t help but salivate over the prospect of this as both Denis and Derek have been longtime favorites, both appearing on our recent list of 10 collaborations we would love to see. With both known for their collaborative efforts with other talented artists and derivatives of their names describing some pretty sick events in the past, there is no reason to suspect this to be anything different.
Big Grizmatik, Basslights, and now Gramatik Lights?
Edit: After looking more closely at the lineup, it seems as though we jumped the gun.
Canadian band LIGHTS is listed separately after Gramatik. The close placement simply had us excited as fans of the potential collaboration based on previous patterns. Nonetheless, a Gramatik performance is always one to enjoy. Pretty Lights will be headlining at Euphoria Music Festival during the first weekend of Coachella.
Jack Master, Eats Everything, Skream & Seth Troxler will also be coming together under the guise J.E.S.&S.
