As the music festival season pushes forward into second gear, West Coast ravers are awaiting the chance to experience one of the largest music festivals in the world, Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival.

The festival will encompass eight new stages, various art installations, carnival rides, and over 500 theatrical performers.

Although Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) originally got its start in Los Angeles in 1997, its increased popularity has since expanded the Insomniac Productions festival to locations like Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New York, Texas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. It has been known to draw crowds as massive as 400,000 attendees. For scale, Manchester, Tennessee’s Bonnaroo typically draws around 80,000 each summer, and in 2013, New York City’s Governor’s Ball attracted a crowd of 135,000.

In customary fashion, EDC Las Vegas sold out well before its arrival date.

As reported by online ticket reseller Ticketbis.com, general entry tickets have also sold out on secondary market. In addition to the GA tickets available on StubHub, the only EDC passes available on the secondary market portal are VIP which are starting at $1,100.

For the festie folk who love to dance, Electric Daisy Carnival will be hard to disappoint, as the three-day experience in Vegas will feature the most sought after artists like Avicii, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Flosstradamus, Disclosure, Afrojack, Kaskade, and Alesso.

If the stacked DJ roster wasn’t enough to draw fans to the 200-acre space at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the festival attractions should have no problem keeping ravers entertained.  Attractions include numerous full-sized carnival rides and various art spectacles. Festival goers can also expect to see some pretty original architecture, including fire-breathing metal creatures, three-dimensional wooden superstructures, and colorful, LED-infused environments and experiences. This year, EDC Las Vegas will even be providing an EDC Wedding Chapel for festival-goers inspired to tie the knot.

For the quality (and quantity) of electronic dance music artists on this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival bill, fans looking for a truly elite experience will not be disappointed, or bored, for that matter.
