Tiesto and Ty Dolla $ign Join Forces for "The Business, Part II"

EDM godfather Tiësto recently teamed up with hip-hop phenom Ty Dolla $ign on “The Business, part II“. This is an unlikely collaboration for both the artists and something I’m sure their fans were not expecting.

At this point, we can say without question that Ty Dolla $ign is one of the most versatile artists in music. The man is arguably featured on more charting tracks than anyone in the industry, and everyone he works with is top tier. He fits in this mix with Tiësto so seamlessly, and his raspy voice gives the song a completely new feel from the original.

“The Business Part I” was released in late 2020 through Proximity and is a massive hit with over 30 million views. Tiesto stayed true to the old mix and simply slowed the song down and replaced his vocals with Ty’s. It’s incredible how just the replacement of vocals can give a piece an entirely new feel.

The funk-house beat that Tiesto has created is so unique, and it just makes you want to move. If clubs were up and running, you can guarantee that it would be a staple on all their playlists. The artists both spoke highly of each other, and Tiësto had this to say about his experience working with TY:

Tiësto managed to stay very busy throughout 2020, releasing his seventh studio album, The London Sessions. In addition to the album, he released four singles and six remixes. With over ten years at the top of his game, it does not appear he will be slowing down anytime soon.

Ty also had a big year releasing his third studio album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign that peaked at number 4 on the US charts. Also, we can never forget about Ty Dollar $ign’s collaboration with Louis The Child on ‘Blase’.
