The highly-anticipated first year festival BigFoot Electro has officially postponed to next year. In an effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19, the majority of Spring and early Summer festivals have been forced to postpone or cancel their festivals.
BigFoot Electro was set to take place in Tracy City, TN this Memorial Day Weekend (May 22-24) but with growing health concerns due to COVID-19 and CDC guidelines asking Americans to continue social distancing, the festival has chosen to forego the current festival season and instead look forward to BigFoot Electro 2021.
The inaugural year planned an eclectic lineup, hosting legends in the bass music community like TRUTH, Teddy Killerz, Phutureprimitive and Emalkay and featuring some of the hottest touring artists right now like The Widdler, Jantsen, Shiverz, Infekt and two sets from Yheti. Deana Fedaie, a talent buyer for the festival, had this to say about the lineup: ”Every music lover dreams of building a lineup. Actually being able to do it is a whole other task. I wanted to build a listening experience that appealed to the underground kids- the ones that like real riddim and the most mind-bending experimental music. For the people who really enjoy and support the up and comers pushing boundaries in bass music.”
If you already grabbed your ticket for 2020, you’re set for BigFoot Electro 2021. You will be issued a new ticket via email in the coming weeks and the festival is offering 50% off admission to BigFoot Electro 2022. We’re told that the lineup will be similar, if not the same. Plus, an extra year of planning for a first time festival may not be a bad!
BigFoot Electro owner Vas Blagodarskiy had this to say:“The silver lining here is that with the support of the artists, agencies and, most importantly, our patrons, we will bounce back with confidence. We’re already planning how to make BigFoot Electro 2021 even bigger and better than planned.”
