Coming off of his debut album, “Occult Classic”, Kill the Noise has maintained his status as a bass music heavyweight throughout the years. Songs such as “Kill it 4 The Kids”, “FUK UR MGMT”, and “Lose Ya Love” have seen regular cycling through DJ sets this year and have been played at major festivals since HARD Summer 2015.
7 months later, Kill the Noise releases his “Alt Classic” remix album which showcases great reinterpretations of the original LP’s tracks.
With remixes from Snails, Loudpvck, Herobust, Getter, and more, this remix album gives new life to the original by allowing each artist to fully re-imagine these songs. From dubstep, to trap, to bass house, to happy hardcore, this remix album takes many different directions often times allowing producers to step out of their comfort zone and try a different genre that they have previously not produced.
Some highlights of the album are:
FUK UR MGMT (Snails Remix)
Combining 3 different drops layered with signature Snails “vomit step” growls, this remix finally shows the world a glimpse of what a Kill the Noise and Snails combination would sound like.
Lose Ya Love (BUSTED By Herobust)
Herobust’s “I’m Aloud” EP was one of the most unique releases of 2016 showcasing his ability to seamlessly blur the lines between genres. In this remix of “Lose Ya Love”, he combines a trap-arm heavy first drop, followed by melodic arpeggios, and to top it off a “vomit step” reminiscent second drop.
Without a Trace feat. Stalking Gia (Kill the Noise & Virtual Riot Remix)
Not the first time Kill the Noise has remixed himself, this remix is the epitome of hard hitting dubstep. Collaborating with Virtual Riot and utilizing top tier production, they turn the original into a brutal head banger.
All In My Head (Darren Styles & Gammer Remix)
The kings of UK Hardcore are back with the feels. A beautiful remix that makes you instinctively close your eyes and put your hands to the sky, like you’re at an unforgettable music festival. Utilizing AWOLNATION’s vocals to their maximum potential, the UK duo took this song and turned into an anthem.
Without a Trace (LOUDPVCK Remix)
Trap heavyweights LOUDPVCK flex their production skills by stepping out of their comfort zone and delivering a booming bass house remix. Known for opening their festival sets with bass house and electro house, it was about time they showed the world their take on a 128bpm track.
