Howling Wolves Presents has announced the 2015 lineup for the Purple Hatter’s Ball.
The eighth annual Purple Hatter’s Ball will take place at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida from May 8 – 10, 2015.
Annually returning to SOSMP, the music festival benefits The Rachel Morningstar Foundation (a nonprofit 501c3 organization) in honor of longtime SOSMP friend and music festival lover Rachel Morningstar Hoffman.
The foundation is dedicated to the memory of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman (December 17, 1984 – May 7, 2008) a 23-year-old Florida State University graduate who was murdered while acting as a police informant during a drug bust that took place May 7, 2008. After this tragic occurrence, the state of Florida implemented Rachel’s Law which established new guidelines for police when handling cases involving confidential informants.
Last year, the festival released 24 monarch butterflies – 23 to represent Rachel’s age when she was taken from this world and 1 for her spirit that continues to live on.
Known for its eclectic lineup, the 2015 edition of Purple Hatter’s Ball will feature the conscious sounds of Lotus, Nahko and Medicine For the People, Alex Grey, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaries, The Werks, DubConscious, Greenhouse Lounge, Benyoro and many more.
In addition to 5 stages, Purple Hatter’s Ball will also feature live art installations, yoga, and other immersive workshops.
If you have the chance to experience this magical music venue, do not miss out on it. There is just something magical that lingers in the air at Suwannee.
Purple Hatter’s Ball will also be hosting an official onsite pre-party on Thursday, May 7 featuring artists Elephant Revival, DubConscious, Space Capone, and a few others.
The pre-party is to encourage fans to arrive at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park a day early giving us all the opportunity to take advantage of the park’s indulgences such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, biking and disc golf.
