Tape B – Ghost in the Static [Full Album]

Tape B’s debut album opens with ‘Signature Sound’ alongside Zaytoven, the Atlanta production legend whose work with Gucci Mane helped define modern trap before he went on to shape records for Future, Migos, and Young Thug. Later in the tracklist, ‘I’ll Never Know’ pairs Tape B with Effin, a Nashville-based producer known for reshaping retro samples into high-energy bass music, a natural match for an album rooted in nostalgia. ‘Underneath Your Skin’ features vocalist Dani King, who began as an acoustic singer performing in local bars and restaurants before carrying her voice to stages like Lost Lands and Electric Zoo, with releases on labels including NCS and Monstercat.

This summer, Tape B co-headlined the Summer Program Tour with Levity, one of the first bass-focused amphitheater tours in North America, adding to a résumé that already included sold-out nights at The Salt Shed in Chicago, Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, Echostage in Washington, D.C., and The Armory in Minneapolis. Along the way, he has shared studio time with hip-hop royalty in Juicy J and traded ideas with electronic heavyweights including GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Subtronics, Wooli, Ganja White Night and Of The Trees.

At the heart of his SoundCloud to mainstage rise was his gift for bridging eras. Fans will hear that philosophy in full at Red Rocks, where night two brings his “OSxNS” (old school x new school) sound. Here is one of our favorites from our Bass Music Essentials Volume 1.

The company he keeps for Hallow Rocks reflects that same spirit, spanning continents and generations of bass music. Thursday brings PEEKABOO, born in Detroit and now based in Los Angeles, Bournemouth-born, London-based Flava D, Florida’s own XaeboR, and Jiqui, a Vancouver native now living in Texas. Friday welcomes Los Angeles-based Jkyl & Hyde, the UK trio Gentlemens Club, Oliverse of Hartlepool, England, and Chicago’s Cozy Kev.
