Today, we have a collection of some of the best bass tracks, ranging from hardcore to emo, plus a little drum & bass. On our recent adventure for some good bass music, we found Heyz playing Wooli‘s ‘Wackman,’ mid Electric Forest set. Jokes aside, we opened up that pitter for this one. Also landing on our radar from the bass capital is Decadon‘s flip of Paramore‘s ‘Misery Business,’ a gem discovered while covering Emo Nite at Meow Wolf Denver.
Searching in other places around the world where bass music thrives, we found the Vancouver-based Stupid Prizes and his new release, ‘Ready,’ which showcases a catchy basshop style on Grand Alliance Music, the label that bloomed from the horns section of Michal Menert & the Pretty Fantastics. At the top of this edition, we placed Whethan with his remix of Juicy J‘s ‘A Zip and A Double Cup’ off his Warehouse.Wavs 2. We should all know the American doing it up by now.
Then while listening to the Italy-raised, London-based Saint Ludo‘s Boiler Room set in Mumbai, a highly underplayed bass music gem, ‘Coffee Lovers Enjoy,’ by Mariusz Raczkowski, made for a proper Boiler Room intro. At the end of this adventure, we found Random Rab‘s ‘Dance in Your Skin.’
