808 Audio is a portable speaker, earbud, and headphone company that was founded in January 2013 and they have some pretty unique gear.
With sleek designs and low price points, 808 Audio is an affordable way to step your speaker game up without breaking the bank.
Portable, affordable, and stylish are some of the immediate hallmarks of the young 808 Audio brand.
Recently, we checked out their Performer BT Wireless Headphones, XS Wireless Stereo Speakers, and NRG GLO Wireless Speakers to see what they’re all about.
Starting out, one big plus for each piece of gear is that they’re good to go out of the box.
With each product having Bluetooth capabilities as well, it was easy to sync these puppies up and jamming to our favorite tunes in no time.
Starting with the headphones, the first noticeable thing is their sleek and stylish look and feel. They feel good to wear, and the flex fit ear pad design makes for a comfortable wear.
At times it honestly feels more like a pair of soft earmuffs than a piece of audio equipment on your head.
After turning on the headphones, the sound quality of the Performer BT’s is immediately apparent: these things have solid clarity and pack some serious bass. With clean hi’s and mid’s, the low end from the headphones cuts through the treble and is pronounced and clear. This allows listeners to catch each distinct piece of music from whatever track that they’re listening to. Whether listening to free MIDI packs or your favorite tunes, this quality is important. The Performer BT Headphones lets listeners hear songs exactly as they were intended: clear, full, and dynamic.
After having listened to a myriad of headphones over the years, the Performer BT stacks up insanely well against any other competitor in its price range. Having the rare combination of sound, feel, and look – we highly recommend them to any audiophile.
Also, with Bluetooth enabled, we were free to roam free and unhinged from the usual tight grip of an audio chord.
The next piece of gear that we checked out was the XS wireless stereo speakers. As with the headphones, the XS speakers have a look to them that’s all their own. Like the other gear, the XS is also Bluetooth ready and good to go straight out of the box. We immediately linked it up with the closest computer and started pumping out the jams. These gadgets are great both for music and movies.
The XS is small, compact, and portable. One could even toss it in their pocket if they were so inclined (hoodie pockets would be prime), and cruise around with your favorite tunes.
With a pair of speakers to add a stereophonic dimension, the XS is an impressive little gadget.
Moving on from the XS wireless stereo speakers, the last piece of gear that we checked out is the NRG GLO wireless speaker. Just like the other two pieces of gear that we looked at, the NRG GLO is Bluetooth enabled so you can stream music directly from your phone, computer, or tablet right from the get go.
Unlike the other two devices, however, this one glows.
Incorporating an LED light ring into the uppermost part of the cylindrical speaker housing, users can set the NRG GLO multiple light modes to add a little something extra to your music experience.
Ranging from featuring a pulsing effect to holding a solid color when the unit is playing music, it’s a cool little addition to the NRG GLO.
Overall, each piece of gear that we checked out from 808 audio was cool and impressive, especially in terms of battery life. With the Performer BT advertised at a 15 hour lifespan and the XS and NRG GLO at 12, that’s enough juice to keep the beats flowing for any music lover.
The Performer BT headphones, XS wireless stereo speakers, and NRG GLO wireless speaker would all fit well in any music lover’s collection. Each piece of gear is easily transportable, stylish, and affordable – so check them out and see if you can find something to fit your style today.
