15 Unforgettable Sets from Ultra Music Festival 2014

Festival season is underway and, boy oh geeze, did it kick off with a bang. Ultra Music Festival, held at Bayfront Park in sunny Miami, Florida, rang in the new festy year in some type of way. With seven stages – more than ever before – UMF 2014 even more to offer.

From an intimate, house-party-like atmosphere at 7UP’s Stage 7 to heavy hitters pumping out world recognized sounds at the massive Main Stage, to A State of Trance 650 tearing down the Carl Cox Mega Structure, Ultra had something for any and every fan of electronic dance music.

The 16th edition of Ultra Music Festival saw Carl Cox celebrate his ten year anniversary by throwing down one of the best sets I have personally ever witnessed; 3lau, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, any many more making their UMF debut, Main Stage mainstays Tiesto, Kaskade, Armin van Buuren, Nicky Romero living up to their reputations, and Skrillex and Diplo showcasing their world premiere as Jack U.

As tens of thousands of members of our EDM family manage the post-festival comedown – reminiscing of beaming lasers, flashing lights, thumping bass, and good vibes – we take a look at 15 unforgettable sets from Ultra Music Festival 2014.

While I was only able to find a 6 minute video clip from Gramatik’s set at the Live Stage on Saturday, let me assure you that they killed it. As soon as more media is available it will be included with this post, but the dudes just could not be omitted.
