Genre-defying electronic duo Zeds Dead return to Chicago this December for a monumental two-night arena event: Deadbeats Presents: Zeds Dead – Return to the Arena of Intergalactic Happiness, taking place December 12 and 13 at Wintrust Arena. The shows mark the climactic finale of their annual Deadbeats tour run and represent their most ambitious Chicago moment to date.

For more than a decade, Chicago has served as a cornerstone of Zeds Dead’s touring history – home to some of their earliest and most iconic sold-out shows. From multi-night runs at Aragon Ballroom and Concord Music Hall to their recent sold-out headlines The Salt Shed, the duo’s relationship with Chicago has evolved into a celebrated tradition that fans nationwide travel for each December.
This year, that tradition ascends to arena status. Return to the Arena of Intergalactic Happiness expands the duo’s legacy with a massive new production concept, uniting cutting-edge stage design, rare throwback moments, and deeply immersive storytelling tailored for their biggest Chicago stage yet.
What began as a single tour stop has transformed into a destination weekend, drawing thousands of fans from across the U.S. to close out each year with Zeds Dead in one of their most passionate markets. The 2025 edition promises to be their most expansive, high-impact Chicago run to date.
As the duo close out the year, the Wintrust Arena shows arrive during a creatively defining moment for Zeds Dead. Their new audiovisual piece “Channel Flipping 2: Only You”, which premiered exclusively on Billboard, expands the narrative of their 2025 album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness.
Billboard praised the work as “heartstring-pulling… whipping up nostalgia, inspiration and a spirit of purpose”, a reflection of the multidimensional universe the duo continue to build. Elements of that world will weave into the Return to the Arena of Intergalactic Happiness experience, adding a cinematic edge to their most anticipated Chicago shows yet.
