Tiesto wins Grammy award for “Best Remixed Recording”

The night of the 2015 Grammy Awards was certainly a magical evening for many young artists and legends alike.

It is a breath of fresh air to watch as some of our most well loved and respected EDM artists receive the highest of praises for years of dedication to their craft.

One producer who has consistently flirted with the award is Dutch legend DJ Tiesto.

The first time Tiesto was nominated for a Grammy was back in 2007 in the “Best Electronic/Dance Album” category. He did not win the award, however, succeeding to the well-deserving French duo Daft Punk.

Fast forward 8 years and EDM continues to experience a monumental surge with Tiesto still at the forefront of the scene.

Long overdue, Tiesto was finally awarded for his remix of John Legend’s well known song “All of Me” in the “Best Remixed Recording” category.

The remix topped charts immediately following the release and won the hearts of thousands across the world.

While receiving his first Grammy, Tiesto expressed his gratitude:

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to accomplish so many of my dreams and goals but it wasn’t until last night that I was able to bring home something that I’ve wanted for a very long time. It was such an honor to step on that stage and accept the Grammy for Best Remix for my remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me.

Receiving the award for this remix was even more special because I made this remix only because I loved the song and thought I could add something special to it and John agreed! I want to dedicate this award to all of my fans for their love and support.

This spring, Tiesto kicks off a massive celebration of his Grammy award with his North American Tour.
