By now, most of us are more than familiar with the awesomeness that is SoundCloud. All of our favorite djs in one perfect spot. But quite possibly the best part of this beautiful music app is the live sets. Yes, SoundCloud live sets are the ‘ish!
Live sets on SoundCloud give you one perfect, fluid full set from your favorite artists at your favorite festivals.
If you’re anything like me, one track from an artist just isn’t enough, and trying to listen to a full album can, at times, feel disjointed, with the gaps between tracks, etc.
From Slander and Loudpvck, to Hardwell and Kaskade, your favorite artists’ sets aren’t hard to find.
With festival season in full swing, it’s almost impossible to attend every festival you’d like, unless you’re really lucky.
Thanks to SoundCloud, you can listen to those festival sets from start to finish! I missed Ultra in Miami this year, and EDC 20 in Las Vegas.
But, Slander was kind enough to post their full Ultra Music Festival set and plan to release their EDC set this week, making both available for download. Slander’s Ultra set gives you a full hour of continuous seamless beats, perfectly timed drops, and surprising mashups like “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith and “Hello” by Adele.
If you are lucky enough to go to these festivals, then the live sets would surely transport you right back into the crowd when you start to go through your festival withdrawals; the live sets take you back into the crowd, into the moment, and for a short time, you can relive the bliss and the highs from those perfect festival moments.
With live sets from Ultra, Tomorrowland, EDC, and so many more of our favorites, SoundCloud sets us up to experience amazing performances from our favorite artists.
While they are certainly no substitute for the rush of a live show, they at least give us an opportunity to share the music we love and have a connection to the festivals and the one-of-a-kind sets they produce. As if that wasn’t enough, most of these live sets are available as free downloads as well!
