Sonny John Moore, commonly known as Skrillex, is being sued by (what can be presumed as) former fan Jennifer Fraissi who is claiming that a stage dive by the artist during a February 2012 show in Los Angeles caused her to sustain injuries that led to a stroke.
Venue also named in lawsuit.
Fraissi is also naming the venue – The Belasco – in the suit, citing that they failed to prevent the artist from diving in to the crowd. She is seeking unspecified damages – loss of income, medical expenses, and other expenses. Though unfortunate (if the allegations are true), anyone who has been to a Skrillex show knows that getting turnt comes with the turf.
Skrillex and The Belasco have both declined comment.
You can see a video of Skrillex jumping in to the crowd that night below, though it is unsure if that is the leap that is being referenced.
