The Next ‘Bonnaroo’ Could Be Coming to Florida

The Sundance Trails Ranch in Okechoobee County, Florida could be the site of the next big music festival.

With over 800 acres of empty fields and vast nature, the South Florida ranch has already gained permit approval from the city commissioner.

Putting things in perspective, the Great Stage Park where Bonnaroo has been held since 2002 is 700 acres.

The early phases of planning are currently underway, including curation of the lineup which owner Clifford Rosen said will not be released until 90 days before the event. With the tentative date scheduled for the weekend of March 6-8, 2015, this would put the much anticipated announcement just before the winter holidays.

Rosen has assembled a team of experienced music promoters that hopes to draw a crowd upwards of 20,000 people by attracting well known names like Kanye West and Elton John – Bonnaroo’s 2014 headliners. If the pending festival is any thing like Bonnaroo there is bound to be a decent selection of electronic dance music.

This year’s edition of the annual Tennessee festival included performances from Disclosure, Skrillex, The Glitch Mob, Kaskade, and Zedd.

Stay tuned for more updates an announcements regarding the new South Florida music festival.
