As we enter the final countdown leading to the 10 year anniversary of Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit, we’re finding it infinitely harder to contain our absurd levels of anticipation for this years landmark rendition.
In a few short days Hart Plaza will be overrun with electronic music fanatics from all corners of the world.
Paxahau has delivered another staggering, talent-ridden lineup that happens to be topped by a 3-D headlining performance from one of the most important and influential bands of our time, Kraftwerk.
Most likely by this point you’ve scoured the ridiculous schedule and discovered that there are multiple conflicts due to the volume of talent that Paxahau brings to Detroit every year.
Just look at Monday night’s closing conflicts: Modeselektor (live) vs Get Real: Green Velvet & Claude Vonstroke vs Richie Hawtin vs Kevin Saunderson vs Nina Kraviz.
We feel your pain… we really do… thankfully there are numerous artists, record labels and promoters setting up shop all over the city to help us cope. Whether it’s thumpin’ industrial techno or sloth-style, decelerated disco that tickles your fancy there’s bound to be a vibe that’s perfect for you.
