Facebook’s newest tweak gives a nod straight to the music lovers, and the platform will now incorporate 30-second “Music Stories” on the world’s most popular social network.
Allowing listeners to preview song clips from iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music, surfers of The Book can start to explore and share clips of their favorite tunes with “Music Stories”.
It’s a small start, but this could be the beginning of something big as the social media giant once again forays into the music space. Will it eclipse other music discovery sites and services like YouTube, SoundCloud, Last.fm, Music-Map, and others – well, if so, that would be a long way off.
Regardless, it’s cool to see another competitor in the music space, and hopefully there’s another transformation on the horizon.
