Las Vegas, Nevada: a city that has become synonymous with the burgeoning electronic dance music scene.
Boasting 12 of the top 15 nightclubs in the United States and hosting the world famous Electric Daisy Carnival, which drew 400,000+ attendees in 2014, Las Vegas has become an annual pilgrimage for dedicated EDM enthusiasts.
Upon arriving in Sin City for the first time, one can be overwhelmed by the amount of hotels, nightclubs, casinos, and promoters vying for your attention up and down the Las Vegas Strip.
Standing proud against the desert skyline are the world-class properties at The Wynn. The historic lore of the luxury resort and casino precedes its reputation, needing no extra promotion to distinguish itself as the Vegas elite.
Countless accolades including AAA five diamond status, Forbes five-star, and Zagat Survey Top U.S. hotel ratings speak to the comprehensive service provided at The Wynn and its adjoined sister property – Encore.
Extending to the on-site properties, the quality caters to music lovers seeking a premium dayclub and nightclub experience.
Situated inside one of the most renowned hotels on the planet, a prestigious quartet of nightclubs continue to provide the ultimate luxury electronic dance music experience.
Facilitating the growth of electronic dance music through the Vegas Club scene are the entertainment pioneers of Wynn Social. With four venues inside of the world renowned property: Tryst, Surrender, Encore Beach Club, and XS – the number one nightclub in the United States – Wynn Social knows a thing or two when it comes to curating the most celebrated experiences in the desert.
Whether you are basking in the sun at Encore Beach Club or celebrating deep into the night at XS Nightclub, there is no shortage of talent and pageantry to stimulate your senses and completely blow your mind.
The Encore Beach Club Experience
The willingness to invest millions of dollars to create an unparalleled guest experience complemented by residencies from the most popular producers on the planet are what categorize the properties of Wynn Social in a league of their own.
Avicii, Deadmau5, Dillon Francis, Diplo, and Zedd are but a few names among the all-star roster of talent that has called The Wynn home at some point. Hosting this type of talent does not come without state of the art facilities, which is evident through the $10 million renovation of XS Nightclub that includes enhanced lighting, sound systems, and technology including a 360-degree DJ booth structure.
Amenities such as these are commonplace throughout all venues managed by Wynn Social. This is what gets you in the door but the epic music is what keeps you coming back.
Thursday of EDC Week 2014 found us at Encore Beach Club celebrating with Fedde Le Grande before commencing the festivities with Insomniac the following day. When it comes to quality, class, and sick music, we can honestly say that there is no better pool party experience than what goes on at The Wynn’s signature dayclub.
Anyone seeking the ultimate dayclub experience need not look further than Encore Beach Club.
Widely recognized as one of the best pool party experiences on the Strip, the 60,000 square foot area boasts an infinity pool and bungalows that cater to the thousands of attendees during the seven month season.
Open every Thursday through Sunday beginning in March, Encore Beach Club has even had to uproot trees to accommodate the increasing masses seeking the best pool party Las Vegas has to offer.
Perhaps you’ve already had the astounding pleasure of attending Encore Beach Club, in which case you’ve been treated to the sounds of the in-house talent. In the midst of the stampede of world class acts constantly coming through the properties at The Wynn is a DJ who has been carving out his legacy in the club scene for the better part of a decade.
The best kept secret in Las Vegas EDM, Esteban Carrasco is on the verge of introducing himself to the world.
Initially arriving in in Vegas with nothing but a dream, the former El Paso, Texas DJ is on the verge of becoming one of the next big names in electronic dance music. Nonetheless, the road has not been without a few bumps. Admits Esteban:
I wonder to myself naive I was. I just left the city without any leads or anything. I couldn’t even get into the clubs in Las Vegas without waiting in line and having to pay a cover charge. And at first I thought, how am I going to DJ in these clubs if I can’t even get in?
A testament to his resiliency, relentless work ethic, and affinity for great music, Carrasco is now entering his third season as resident DJ at Encore Beach Club.
This platform has exposed him to the highest levels of talent within the industry, having performed countless opening and closing sets alongside the aforementioned headliners in addition to Above & Beyond, David Guetta, Eric Prydz and many more. The most competitive club scene in the world, only the top talent is worthy of stepping to the decks in Las Vegas – especially at the properties managed by Wynn Social.
Speaking to his experience as a resident DJ at Encore Beach Club, Esteban revealed:
DJ’ing at Encore Beach Club is amazing.
You’ve got people from all over the world traveling to Las Vegas to experience the grandeur of it, so the energy is always incredible.
On a personal level, opening and closing for some of the most recognizable acts in dance music is as much of an honor as it is a constant learning experience for me.
Another amazing thing about being an Encore Beach Club resident DJ is that I get to introduce my newest productions there.
Continually mastering his sound and refining his skills, Carrasco has elevated himself to premier status. His prowess in progressive big room and deep/tech house allow him to flawlessly narrate the moment, providing the exact rhythm you want to hear.
While headliners and club connoisseurs are familiar with his sounds, Esteban Carrasco is poised to elevate his career to the next level.
A loaded arsenal of projects could very well be the catalyst that blasts him to the next level. Now available on Beatport, his latest tracks “Fly Away” and “Let’s Go” were released through Manufactured Music and a full-length album is currently in the works. Though he has hinted at high-profile collaborations, Carrasco has kept exactly who on the low. Given the connections available through the properties and artists he has worked with, we can only imagine what is in store in the coming months.
The ultimate goal as a producer is to develop a unique sound that sets me apart from everyone else. Eventually, I’d like people to listen to my music and, without looking at who made it, just know that it’s me. It takes time, but I think with each release I get one step closer to achieving that.
Every passing day is one step closer to the arrival of Esteban Carrasco.
