Indian Lookout Country Club, located near Mariaville Lake, NY, has hosted Camp Bisco, a popular electronic music festival for the past 7 years. Unfortunately, the event plans to change locations this year due to backlash from the local community. Local’s claim the event wreaks havoc on their community each year and believe festival goers only attend to do hard drugs.
Despite speculation as to what motivates the festival goers, the economic effect of these festivals is significant.
Business owner’s take a different stance welcoming the EDM festival because of the large profits correlated with it’s return each year. Buzz has been circulating around the new location potentially in Saugerties, NY. We will just have to wait and see.
