Mother Nature to Make Guest Appearance at Mysteryland

The first edition of Mysteryland on United States soil is already one of the most highly anticipated gatherings of the summer festival circuit. With its debut in the Netherlands in 1993, Mysteryland has established itself as the longest running electronic dance music festival in existence.

It also finds itself as the first music festival to be held at the historic Bethel Woods, New York location since Woodstock 1969. In addition to the massive lineup featuring Nicky Romero, Tritonal, Kaskade, Big Gigantic, Moby, and more, we discovered that Mother Nature will also be making her presence felt.

Earthsky.org has predicted that a meteor shower will illuminate the desolate night sky on Friday, May 24 of the festival. In an official release, Earthsky announced:

On the night of May 24, 2014 – if the predictions hold true – Earth might be sandblasted with debris from this comet, resulting in a fine display of meteors, or shooting stars.

Sounds like the perfect storm of events. As if the anticipation, lineup, and historic setting were not enough, this added element could practically cover the cost of admission itself.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here.

Hope to see you there Fest Fam.
