Global Dance Festival held their Wild West Edition in Arizona this past November. After experiencing this magical and love filled event, I cannot wait to see what Global Dance Festival comes out with next.
With a lineup featuring artists like Bassnectar, Alison Wonderland, Herobust, Datsik, Louis the Child, Nero and Valentino Khan, Global Dance Festival set the bar high for this year’s festivals.
Gates opened up at 3 pm, revealing the epic festival layout at Rawhide Western Town and Event Center, providing an old western feel with new age beats.
The festival layout was a dream. The proximity of the stages made everything accessible and provided an easy environment to meet up with your festival crew.
Enjoy this photo tour of Global Dance Festival Arizona:
Each of the three stages had a different vibe. If you like a mishmash of styles, The Bandit Canyon Stage was the place to be, with an array of diverse artists. From Louis the Child’s pop and electric infused beats to Bassnectar’s wizardly dubstep, fans were treated to an impressive and varied lineup.
The Tombstone Stage had just as grimy of a vibe, hosting performers such as Mat Zo, JOYRYDE and Herobust. If you were hungry for womps, then The Hideout Stage was where you wanted to be with DJ’s such as, Lee Foss or Prok & Fitch.
A highlight of the festival for me was Herobust, who had fans getting down and dirty to his new remixes.
Herobust kept the crowd immersed in his performance, encouraging the entire audience to participate in the “Mannequin Challenge”. Another special part to this festival was getting the opportunity to meet some of the artists. The cherry on top was Bassnectar being such a satisfying closer.
Everyone left setting their calendars for next year’s Global Dance Festival.
